The development of 13 3-story four and five bedroom houses was marketed from May 2008. Road access and signage was completed in September 2008 with the road name taking the name of the development.

The development involved the demolition of 56 to 60 and building on part of the rear gardens of 48 to 54 Newton Road. The site had been cleared by July 2007. There was controversy around the development with claims that listed trees had been removed and the development was higher and nearer other residences than had been agreed in the planning application. The properties are now on sale by Bairstow Eves.
