Just outside Birmingham and close to the M6, Sandwell Valley is enjoyable for all the family. In summer, breeding birds around the marsh, lake and grassland range from wading birds such as little ringed plovers to ducks and songbirds such as whitethroats. Others visit on migration and in winter, ducks and wading birds find refuge.
